Thai Unryu Paper (Gold/Silver Leaf Flecks)
Unryu paper is made primarily in Thailand. Unryu is a tissue weight rice
papers. Most of the colors are translucent
and make ideal collage and screen papers. Their translucency also makes
them ideal for chine colle, encaustic painting, lamp shades, and paper
sculpture. They feature heavy kozo fibers
running throughout; making them surprisingly strong for such a thin
paper.
These sheets of Unryu are made with flecks of gold and/or silver leaf embedded in the paper pulp. The leaf used is aluminum and brass based; it is not sterling or 23K leaf.
