These are old Tubes, getting older.  All have been inspected. Tubes open and paint is good! If you aren't happy with it, we will refund the cost of the tube.  We know its not a bargain if you can't use it. We want to clear them out. 

Mussini oil colors are imported from Schmincke in Germany.  Mussini oil colors are one of the best kept secrets in the Rochester art community. We have carried them for over 40 years and sell them to artists all over the world yet we rarely see our Rochester artists use them.  We carry 14 lines of professional oil colors and each has its own unique nuance. Mussini, like our other lines, uses the finest pigment, the highest quality traditional binders like linseed, safflower and sunflower oil and grind their mixture on three roll mills to produce an exceptional paint. Schmincke is one of the few manufacturers that makes a batch and allows it to settle for 3 months before tubing it. They do this because all pigments have different absorbency rates and if tubed immediately, the pigments would settle in the bottom of the tube, the oil would rise to the top and when you remove the cap, oil would pour out. By allowing the paint to sit in a vat for 3 months, the oil rises naturally to the top and is poured off. The remaining paint is re-milled and then tubed.  Now what really makes this line unique is the use of natural resin. Many artists will mix damar varnish in with oil colors to create a glaze and speed the drying time.  All 108 Mussini oil colors have natural damar resin in their formulation.  Mussini offers a tremendous range of transparent pigments which when combined with natural resin offer outstanding brilliance, luminosity and optimal light refraction, they are easily the finest glaze colors in the world!  Even their opaque pigments have natural damar so that all 108 colors in there range have even drying rates through every layer.
