This gorgeous mulberry garden paper features papery thin flying seeds known as “Angel Wings”, that flutter and spin as they float through the air, naturally reseeding themselves to produce the Oroxylum Indicum or “Shyonaka” plant native to Asia and the foothills of the Himalayas. “Angel Wings” are also used in potpourri in both their natural color or dyed in an array of colors as they are in this textured handmade paper with colored kozo fibers dyed to match the seeds.
In Thailand, Nepal and Laos these seeds are also used in marriage rituals. In the Himalayas people make mobiles and garlands with these seeds and hang them from the roof of their houses for protective reasons. Approximately 80 g/m2.
